4 Skills of English: Reading, Writing, Reading, & Listening

General English 4 Skills course offers an intensive English program with a core learning outcome of reading, writing, speaking, listening, general vocabularies and understanding of grammar and its usage. This course is designed using only the best-in-class international curriculum. These classes are suitable for ages 15 and above, and great for those who want to rapidly improve their knowledge of the English language. This course ensures that the learners acquire the ability to use the English language effectively in the real world.

In addition to the learning outcomes, students will be given a range of articles to be read, numbers of listening track to improve their listening skills, to give numbers of presentations in class to boost their speaking skills. All of our classes are exceptionally interactive which involve role play, group discussion, debate, delivering speeches and many more.

Students are required to take a placement test before enrollment.

It takes two months to complete each level. Students will be given weekly assessments to gauge their improvement and understanding of the material. Furthermore, students are required to take a Mid-Term knowledge test and Final examination to ensure they have completed the level successfully. Upon successful completion of the course and examination, students will be awarded with a completion certificate.

General English 4-Skills Levels

Beginner - What Will I Learn?
  • Learn how to introduce yourself and your friends. Uses of possessive adjectives, affirmative statements and contractions.
  • Learn how to describe people, cities and countries.
  • Learn how to describe clothing, describing about weather and seasons.
  • Learn how to tell the timing, asking about and describing current activities.
  • Describing daily and weekly routines, talking about family members.
  • Learn how to ask about and to describe houses and apartments, talk about furniture in a room.
  • Noun, Pronoun, adjectives, verb, adverb, simple present statements with regular and irregular verbs.
  • Learn how to use simple past statements with regular and irregular verbs.
  • Countable and Uncountable nouns. Talking about food likes and dislikes, giving opinions about healthy and unhealthy foods. Describing eating habits.
  • Learn when to use future tense. Learn how to talk about plans for the evening, weekend and other occasions.
  • Learn how to ask for and to give directions. Prepositions of place.
Elementary - What Will I Learn?
  • People – Learn how to introduce yourself
  • Possessions – colours, everyday objects, furniture, countries and nationalities
  • Places – giving directions, telling the time, adjectives about cities, places of work
  • Free time – talking about abilities and interests, free-time activities, word building: verb + noun collocations, sports. Learn how to write short emails.
  • Food – countable and uncountable nouns (a, some and any) (a lot of and not much/not many) (how many/how much)
  • Money – was/were, past simple (affirmative): regular and irregular verbs, compound nouns, practice reading an article about currency, an article about treasure, an article about history of money.
  • Journeys – asking about a trip. Past simple tense. Comparative adjectives, superlative adjectives. Learn how to learn a travel blog.
  • Appearance – Learn how to describe people, places and things. Practice reading an article about a fashion, countries and photographers. Learn how to use present continuous tense.
  • Film and the arts –  learn range of vocabularies regarding arts and entertainment.
  • Science – Learn present perfect tense and range of vocabularies on everyday technology. Practice reading an article on outdated technology and about new inventions.
  • Tourism – Learn how to write a description of a tourist destination. Practice speaking by giving advice for a tourist. Enhance listening skill by listening a track on two friends discussing a trip to South America.
  • The Earth – Learn how to make a presentation. Improve reading skills by reading an article about unexplored places on earth and about a new planet.
Pre-Intermediate - What Will I Learn?
  • Health – Present simple, Present continuous. Adverbs and expressions of frequency. Talking about illness, reading an article on about measuring health and happiness.
  • Competitions – Talking about interests. Improve speaking skill by giving your opinions about sports.
  • Transport – Learn different modes of transport. Learn how to write a report about how people travel around town in your country. Read an article about future transportation.
  • Adventure – Learn how to use past simple and past continuous tense. Learn range of vocabularies on geographical features.
  • The environment – Learn countable and uncountable nouns. Learn how to present a report. Boost your speaking skill by giving opinions on recycling and by playing a role as an environmentalist.
  • Stages in life – Learn verb patterns with to + infinitive, future forms: going to, will and present continuous.
  • Work – Learn present perfect simple tense, prepositions of place and movement. Learn how to write a CV, learn how to perform during a job interview.
  • Technology – Defining relative clauses. Speaking on technologies such as on, problems that inventions solved, inventing a new robot, using nature to improve designs.
  • Language and learning – Learn why education is the most important tool in our lives. Gain more knowledge on obstacles that may occurs while working in different countries due to the language barriers.

  • Emotion: Learn about zero, first and second conditionals. Learn how to write a letter of advice. Discuss what you would do in different hypothetical situations.
